This video gives a brief overview of this ingenious method of compressing air using only the power of water. The way a trompe harnesses the power of water to generate compressed air with no moving parts is fascinating and its use is seeing a small revival in modern days. A trompe can be useful in off-grid aquaponics and hydroponic systems that need aeration of the water. And, in fact, the inspiration for this video came from the late Bruce Leavitt, a mining engineer who pioneered the use of small trompes for aeration and treatment of mining water in remote locations without access to electricity.

Constant Air Volume System or CAV System is an all-air type HVAC system that uses constant air volume while the temperature of the supplied air is varied to achieve the desired heating or cooling. We discussed the single duct single-zone system, single duct multizone system with reheat coiled, and dual duct system. In CAV System Air handling unit fans are running at a constant speed resulting in a lot of energy consumption for supplying the air. In the Multizone reheat system, a lot of energy is consumed in heating the already cold air, so the CAV system is not energy efficient. That's CAV system is strictly restricted by many energy codes.

We'll ask questions like, "why is the seafloor so young when the Earth is so old?" or try to identify why winds and ocean currents are so important to life on Earth. Then we'll turn our focus to human geography and explore the ways people occupy the Earth's surface. Like how we've moved, settled, and used the land, resources and space. But ther'e not always a clear line dividing the physical and human, because really, geography is telling the story of the Earth. We'll hope you'll join us on this journey starting November 30, 2020!
