Generative AI challenges Higher Education institutions, educators and their practices to critically re-appraise the nature of what should and could be assessed. Gen AI can support equity and enhance new assessment designs. However, it also challenges us to reconsider what is valued, who is involved and what assessment can reliably reveal. This workshop will discuss the Australian Higher Education response to generative AI and explore the opportunities and challenges in relation to assessment. Event Date: 19/6/2023 Facilitator(s): Michael Henderson (Monash University), Dick Chan (EDC)
