Airport Expansion Project: The Case of Airport Authority Hong Kong

The Airport Authority Hong Kong has expanded Hong Kong International Airport with the Three-Runway System and SKYCITY development to boost capacity and transform the airport into a regional hub and lifestyle destination. However, a severe post-pandemic labor shortage threatens to limit the full potential of these projects, making talent attraction and retention a critical challenge for realizing the airport’s long-term growth ambitions.
