How Does a Spectrometer Work?
Take a look inside the optical bench of an Ocean Optics miniature spectrometer. In spectroscopy, photons encounter many components and undergo a variety of processes before registering as a spectrum. Let's see what happens to these photons once they enter the spectrometer!
Due to the pandemic, lessons were conducted online. There’s no chance for me to go to the laboratory before the practicals. I think the lecture notes only provide images of the internal structure of a spectrometer. With videos, I think it allows me to understand how the machine works as if I really see it.
