When you enter phrases into the Google Books Ngram Viewer, it displays a graph showing how those phrases have occurred in a corpus of books (e.g., "British English", "English Fiction", "French") over the selected years
This tool helps me to analyse the popular usage of words and phrases (mostly English) over time. My favourite function is the “wildcard” function, through which users can find out the most frequently used word combinations (or collocation) of a word. This is the go-to site for anyone who wants to improve his/her English writing.
