Typsy

Having tried various learning platforms (e.g. Lobster ink), my last experience with Typsy was the best ever. Not only did I find the interface super clean and user-friendly, it also succeed in arousing interest among students. For example, Typsy's video are split into small chapters, featuring hospitality experts, professionals and instructors around the world. While videos are shot on location, it gives me a sense of realism, as though I myself, was in a "real" training restaurant/ bartender training school. As a person with short attention span, videos with (around) 5 minute are just as good as "a short break between assignments". These bite-sized videos prevent learners from getting overwhelmed. Thus, it allows me to learn at my own pace, and absorb those materials faster. With the provision of subtitles, I could easily go back and listen, whenever a concept is unclear. The downloadable "lesson summaries" and quizzes were all very handy. It helps me to get organized with my learning.
