This project was started in 2007 as a Google Summer of Code project by David Cournapeau. Later that year, Matthieu Brucher started work on this project as part of his thesis. In 2010 Fabian Pedregosa, Gael Varoquaux, Alexandre Gramfort and Vincent Michel of INRIA took leadership of the project and made the first public release, February the 1st 2010. Since then, several releases have appeared following a ~ 3-month cycle, and a thriving international community has been leading the development.

I am fortunate to be among the very first NTU EECS professors to offer two Mandarin-teaching MOOCs (massive open online courses) on NTU@Coursera. The two MOOCs are Machine Learning Foundations (Mathematical, Algorithmic) and Machine Learning Techniques and are based on the textbook Learning from Data: A Short Course that I co-authored. The book is consistently among the best sellers in Machine Learning on Amazon.
The slides of the MOOCs below are available as is with no explicit or implied warranties. The slides themselves are shared by CC-BY-NC 3.0, but the copyright of all materials (figures in particular) remain with the original copyright holder (in almost all cases the authors of the Learning from Data: A Short Course book).

Fuzzy Logic Toolbox™ provides MATLAB® functions, apps, and a Simulink® block for analyzing, designing, and simulating systems based on fuzzy logic. The product guides you through the steps of designing fuzzy inference systems. Functions are provided for many common methods, including fuzzy clustering and adaptive neurofuzzy learning. The toolbox lets you model complex system behaviors using simple logic rules, and then implement these rules in a fuzzy inference system. You can use it as a stand-alone fuzzy inference engine. Alternatively, you can use fuzzy inference blocks in Simulink and simulate the fuzzy systems within a comprehensive model of the entire dynamic system.

Agent based modeling focuses on the individual active components of a system. This is in contrast to both the more abstract system dynamics approach, and the process-focused discrete event method. With agent based modeling, active entities, known as agents, must be identified and their behavior defined. They may be people, households, vehicles, equipment, products, or companies, whatever is relevant to the system. Connections between them are established, environmental variables set, and simulations run. The global dynamics of the system then emerge from the interactions of the many individual behaviors. AnyLogic combines professional discrete event, system dynamics, and agent based modeling in one platform for efficient, no compromise results. In our white paper, Multimethod Simulation Modeling for Business Applications, we investigate these three main simulation modeling approaches and construct a multimethod model example to illustrate the advantages of multimethod simulation modeling. Read the white paper and see why hybrid models are always a better choice!

Welcome to Google's Python Class -- this is a free class for people with a little bit of programming experience who want to learn Python. The class includes written materials, lecture videos, and lots of code exercises to practice Python coding. These materials are used within Google to introduce Python to people who have just a little programming experience. The first exercises work on basic Python concepts like strings and lists, building up to the later exercises which are full programs dealing with text files, processes, and http connections. The class is geared for people who have a little bit of programming experience in some language, enough to know what a "variable" or "if statement" is. Beyond that, you do not need to be an expert programmer to use this material. To get started, the Python sections are linked at the left -- Python Set Up to get Python installed on your machine, Python Introduction for an introduction to the language, and then Python Strings starts the coding material, leading to the first exercise. The end of each written section includes a link to the code exercise for that section's material. The lecture videos parallel the written materials, introducing Python, then strings, then first exercises, and so on. At Google, all this material makes up an intensive 2-day class, so the videos are organized as the day-1 and day-2 sections. This material was created by Nick Parlante working in the engEDU group at Google. Special thanks for the help from my Google colleagues John Cox, Steve Glassman, Piotr Kaminksi, and Antoine Picard. And finally thanks to Google and my director Maggie Johnson for the enlightened generosity to put these materials out on the internet for free under the Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 license -- share and enjoy!

Guys, our original series on the Arduino Microcontroller was insanely popular. Those original lessons had some great technical content, but the production quality of the videos was pretty low. Because of that, I want to go in and redo the arduino tutorials, taking advantage of improved production capabilities I now have, and using fresh hardware and software. For those who have taken the original series, the first few lessons will be material you already have learned. You can choose to review the material, or just skip to the later lessons. In this new series of lessons, I will be using this Arduino kit. So, enough of this small talk, lets get right into the new and improved lessons.

We're like Duolingo for learning to code. When learning to code, most people get stuck on the "bridge" between memorizing syntax and understanding the logic that makes it all work. We believe the most effective way to learn a programming language is to break the process into three phases:(1)Memorize syntax; (2) Solve problems; and (3) Make stuff. Most beginners jump from memorizing syntax directly into making stuff (or trying) without fully understanding how syntax is used to solve problems. In other words, they haven't learned how to think like a programmer, yet they're trying to solve problems like a programmer. Edabit was created to bridge this gap, while also making the process fun and addictive.

freeCodeCamp is a proven path to your first software developer job. More than 40,000 people have gotten developer jobs after completing this – including at big companies like Google and Microsoft. If you are new to programming, we recommend you start at the beginning and earn these certifications in order. To earn each certification, build its 5 required projects and get all their tests to pass. You can add these certifications to your résumé or LinkedIn. But more important than the certifications is the practice you get along the way.If you feel overwhelmed, that is normal. Programming is hard. Practice is the key. Practice, practice, practice. And this curriculum will give you thousands of hours of hands-on programming practice. And if you want to learn more math and computer science theory, we also have thousands of hours of video courses on freeCodeCamp's YouTube channel. If you want to get a developer job or freelance clients, programming skills will be just part of the puzzle. You also need to build your personal network and your reputation as a developer. You can do this on Twitter and GitHub, and also on the freeCodeCamp forum. Happy coding.

C is a general-purpose, imperative computer programming language, supporting structured programming, lexical variable scope and recursion, while a static type system prevents many unintended operations. C was originally developed by Dennis Ritchie between 1969 and 1973 at Bell Labs, and used to re-implement the Unix operating system. It has since become one of the most widely used programming languages of all time, with C compilers from various vendors available for the majority of existing computer architectures and operating systems. The best way we learn anything is by practice and exercise questions. We have started this section for those (beginner to intermediate) who are familiar with C programming. Hope, these exercises help you to improve your C programming coding skills. Currently, following sections are available, we are working hard to add more exercises.

Software developments is advancing the technological world today. This changes have far more reaching implications in I.T industries such as Big data, Artificial intelligence and Agile Software development methodologies. Competition in the software development ecosystem has made developers to build software that are quick and reliable and often referred to as Agile development. Agile transformation is real and requires rethinking the business management, recruitment process and data strategy in a bid to stimulate disruptive solutions from within in-house development and deployment. AI product development would require rapid transformational changes within any organization. This can be accomplished by establishing specific operating models that permit development teams with the freedom of technology choice. This publication highlights some operating models that can be adopted to improve the success of AI products using Agile software development methodologies.
